City of Sierra Madre
The City of Sierra Madre only had a workstation with one license of ArcView in the Planning Department, which was being under-utilized. The Public Works Department took the lead in pursuing a Geographic Information System (GIS). AMN Options was awarded a sole source contract to provide conversion services of the water, sewer and storm drain systems, provided high resolution digital orthophotography with by-products of two foot contours, building footprints and curb lines. Additional data integrated was a pavement management database as well as a street sweeping schedule. AMN also worked on the City’s behalf to acquire data from third party vendors to supplement the data that was converted. All of this data was configured and is used within XY Maps, a desktop enterprise solution that uses ArcIMS web server software to distribute all of this data across the organization.
